Rules & Posting Guidelines

Welcome to @dwfanfic! This is a community directory of people who post fanfiction on dreamwidth. Journals and/or communities do not need to be only for posting fanfiction, as long as posting fanfiction is one of the functions of the dreamwidth you link.

To be clear, if you have a community dedicated to your own fanfic, please use the form for individuals and not the form for communities. The community form is for communities where multiple people are meant to post fanfic. Bingos or rec communities where fanfic is linked to but not hosted are not within the scope of this directory. General fanfic posting communities may also promo here, but the format is a bit different-- please don't tag every fandom someone has ever written for the comm if it's a multifandom writing community. You may tag fandoms if the community is themed on a specific fandom or fandoms, though.

Main Rules:

1. Don't be a dick.
2. This is a fic directory. This includes any fandom-- RPF, Original Works, whatever, but does not include fanart or roleplay. Your journal/community may have those things, but you must also have fictional writing of some kind.
3. One post per user/community. This comm is meant to be a directory. You may post here multiple times if you would like to promo your fanfic communities, but you may only do so once per community. If you would like to update your fandoms, please edit your original post. If you have multiple individual fanfic comms for different fandoms, please list them all in one post. If you have multiple separate accounts that both have fanfic on them, but the accounts aren't connected at all and are functionally two different users, you may make separate promo posts for them with each account.
4. Indicate adult content. Please make a note if the community or journal you link to has 18+ content.

Feel free to add more information if you would like, like what kind of fic you post or if it's mirrored on AO3 or SquidgeWorld or NeoCities. The link, though, should be to somewhere on dreamwidth.

Tagging:

Please tag your post with the type of journal it is (individual or community) and the fandoms you believe are relevant. This does not have to be every fandom you've ever written, but it can be if you want. If you want to indicate that you have more fandoms than what you explicitly tagged for, use the tag "miscellaneous fandoms". Multifandom fanfic communities are encouraged to use this tag as well.

The template uses a href instead of directly linking the user - which would add the typical DW icon for comms and whatnot. Would it be OK to use the user=name HTML instead of the a href method?
